How to play Tiki-Taka

Two players. Get the ball from the first to the second in short passes. Every pass has to go to a club teammate: someone who was at the same club in the same season as the player on the ball. He then becomes the man on the ball, and you pass again. The chain is complete as soon as you reach a player who played with the final name.

Par is the shortest route we know. On most days that is two players in between. You can use up to five. Beat par and you score 120. Match it and you score 100. Every extra pass costs points.

Lives and dead ends

You have three lives. A pass to someone who never played with the man on the ball is a misplaced pass and costs a life. Lose all three and the move breaks down. If your chain heads somewhere useless, take the ball back. That is free. It just undoes your last pass so you can try a different route.

How to find a route

Work from both ends. Who did the last player play with at his biggest clubs? Who did the first player play with at his? You are looking for two squads that share a man. Players who moved between big clubs are the best connectors. So are long careers: a keeper who played fifteen seasons has hundreds of teammates.

Scoring and streaks

Finish the chain to keep your streak. Your stats, streak, best score and par record save on your device and sync to your account when you sign in. Every past puzzle stays playable in the archive, but only today's counts towards your streak.
